Position Overview
We are hiring immediately, but due to hospital onboarding requirements, the expected start date will be 1-2 months after hire. Credentialing at our partner hospitals takes time, so candidates must have all licenses and documents readily available and up to date. This includes state NP license, DEA, NPI, immunizations, certifications, and proof of malpractice insurances.
The Nurse Practitioner will work alongside another provider as counterparts, rotating 7am-7pm shifts, typically ~15 days per month.
The role involves rounding at hospitals across several regions in Los Angeles, such as:
Downtown LA / East LA
Hollywood
Culver City / West LA
Norwalk / La Mirada area
Patient volume varies by site — from low-census facilities to consistently busier locations.
Additional rounding at 1-2 nursing homes may be added depending on census.
This position is ideal for clinicians who value independence, flexibility, and a schedule that provides substantial time off each month.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily inpatient rounding at 5-6 hospitals within assigned geographic regions (locations subject to change)
Delivery high-quality acute care, including evaluations, treatment planning, and timely documentation
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and hospital staff
Complete rounding at 1-2 skilled nursing facilities as needed
Community effectively to coordinate schedule coverage with the counterpart NP/PA
Travel reliably between facilities during the shirt
Qualifications
Required Credentials
Acute and unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant license
Acceptable NP certifications include: AGACNP, AGNP, AGPCNP, ANP, FNP, ENP or similar recognized NP credentials
DEA and NPI (must be active or in process prior to hire)
BLS and ACLS (current)
Malpractice insurance — must be provided prior to start
Experience
Preferred but not required: 1+ year experience in hospitalist, inpatient, or acute care settings
Strong new graduates may be considered
Other Requirements
Reliable personal vehicle and comfortable driving between multiple facilities
Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment
All documentation must be current and ready for credentialing to avoid delays
